Course Description:
At completion of this 8 CEU course, the attendee will be familiar with the following topics:
Course objectives:
- Able to identify arches and creases with splinting to prevent secondary complications
- Understanding compression and contact forces for splinting
- How to brace over wounds or surgical sites
- Understand precautions of brace uses
- Learn how to interpret L-codes
- Learn how to choose the right L-code
- Review OSS most common L-codes in Raintree
- Learn what surgeries call for what kind of braces
- Charging for braces vs exercise orthosis
- How to discuss cost of bracing with our patients
- Custom fabricate 9 orthosis
