Open to all OSS OT/COTA/staff

Course Objective/Learning Outcome
At the conclusion of the course the participant will be able to:

• Learn how to properly fabricate the below listed 10 upper extremity splints.

Schedule

Day 1: Saturday, November 16, 2024 (8:00am – 5:00pm)

1. Dorsal Blocking Orthosis
2. Low Profile RN Palsy Orthosis
3. Wrist Extension with Assist Coils Orthosis
4. Dart Throwers Motion Orthosis
5. Anti-Ulnar Drift Orthosis

Day 2: Sunday, November 17, 2024 (8:00am – 5:00pm)

1. Isoforce Outrigger for PIP Flexion
2. Functional Ulnar/Median Nerve Orthosis
3. Static Progressive Wrist Flexion/Extension Orthosis
4. Static Progressive Finger IP Flexion Orthosis
5. Orficast Specific Hand Based Thumb Spica

CEUs:

16.0 contact hours or 1.6 CEUs

Format:

Lecture, demonstration and orthotic fabrication lab

Attire:

Comfortable attire. Please consider dressing in layers as each person has a different comfort level when the air conditioning is on
