Course Description:
At completion of this 8 CEU course, the attendee will be familiar with the following topics:
Wrist
- Understand the wrist and hand anatomy
- Be able to palpate and identify the carpal bones
- Be able to perform provocative testing to evaluate wrist injuries
- Knowledge of nerve compression injuries of the upper extremity along with treatment techniques to decrease symptoms
- Understand how to evaluate and treat common hand injuries. Including taping and prefab bracing
Shoulder/Elbow
- Understand key (selected) principles from the examination of the elbow
- Discuss the value and use of special testing for medial elbow stability
- Review and practice key manual therapy techniques, in particular progressions from baseline techniques
- Discuss specific components of managing the patient with medial elbow instability
